We’ve been asked to draw our interpretation of @Hatsune Miku, a voice bank professional software developed by Crypton Future Media.
Its personification is a teenage girl with long blue green twintails, that has become a cult character in the years.
She performs real concerts, projected on stage as a singing anime.
She sings her own songs, she has her own merchandising , she is the protagonist of a manga, and she appeared in many anime series.
So Miku is not simply a software and a manga figure but a multilevel cultural phenomenon with influences and presence in music and many other sectors of society
It’s been a real challenge for us, because for the first time we had to give our personal vision of a japanese character and make a poster for a virtual idol.
We hand printed a limited edition of silkscreen posters, a regular version of 175 copies with purple background and gold metallic ink and a variant version of 75 pieces with orange/yellow background and silver metallic color.
