Our brand new print draws inspiration from the tale of \u201cCupid and Psyche\u201d in Lucius Apuleius\u2019 Metamorphoses (2nd century AD).<\/p>\n

Beneath its many layers, the story unfolds as an allegory of the soul\u2019s journey (Psyche meaning \u201csoul\u201d in Greek) moving through desire, curiosity, loss, and redemption, until its final reunion with divine love.<\/p>\n

The image portrays Psyche in the arms of her mysterious nocturnal lover, later revealed to be the winged god Cupid (Amor, love itself).<\/p>\n

He warned her that should she ever look upon his face, she would lose him forever.<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the print, a sentence taken from the novel:<\/p>\n

\u201cTeneo te, meum lumen\u201d: I hold you, my light.<\/p>\n

A three-color silkscreen print, hand-pulled and limited to an edition of 60 copies.<\/p>\n
