What is a numbered and limited edition handmade screen print?
When the print run of a poster is limited to a specific number of copies, hand numbered by the artist, we are speaking about a limited edition.
All the Malleus' silkscreens are handprinted in our studio (with our DIY gear) on high quality paper, numbered on the left bottom side and marked on the back. The artist' sign is usually inside the drawing, sometimes totally hidden, sometimes more visible:-)
We usually work on print runs of 100/150 posters. Sometimes we do more if requested.
There is no second printing of our posters. This is to preserve the collectible value of a print. When we sold out an edition, we feel so sad we cannot affoard to reprint it...:-)
We always retain some posters for our archives.

What are Special edition runs?
Working on a poster we sometimes print different support editions. These are small runs on canvas, on special papers or propilene and pvc sheets. They are numbered in a different way from the official run.

Why poster prices change?
Selling posters through editions means we're gonna finish them in time. The price will go up on remaining posters based on quantity available, market value, and demand.

Is it possible to purchase the paintings in the "fine art" section?
Some paintings are realize while we print posters and they're hand painted and printed before erasing the screens.
They're not for sale for now.
We use big paintings to cover the holes in our studio... we need them:-)

What's Supernaturalcat?
It is an overall project gathering under its shield a wide and comprehensive range of structures. It's born out of the intent to bring innovative and often umpredictable new music genres into the italian and then worldwide scene. SupernaturalCat focuses on the attention to the details and the preeminence of music and its distribution. It's mainly a record label, working on handmade and limited edition printings, started from the consideration of the record as a handicraft piece. A way totally opposed to the serial logic of today.
We're applying the poster-art idea to the phonografic supports.
